Federal legislation to combat drunk driving including national driver register : hearing before the Subcommittee on Surface Transportation of the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, United States Senate, Ninety-seventh Congress, second session on S. 671, to amend section 402 of Title 23, United States Code, relating to establishment by each state of comprehensive alcohol-traffic safety programs as a part of its highway program : S. 672, to require the Secretary of Transportation to administer a national driver register to assist state driver licensing officials in electronically exchanging information regarding the motor vehicle driving records of certain individuals : S. 2158, to amend Title 23, United States Code, to authorize and direct the payment of an incentive grant for highway safety programs to any state in any fiscal year during which the statutes of the state include certain provisions relating to driving while intoxicated; to establish a national driver register; and for other purposes, March 3, 1982.
