Proceedings of a court martial convened for the trial of Lt. Col. Joshua B. Brant : at St. Louis, June 15, 1839, upon charges of fraud, violation of official trust and neglect of duty, and conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman, containing the charges, specifications, and evidence.
Brant was court martialed for "improper practices." He was found guilty of fraud, violation of official trust and conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman.
