Torture Victim Protection Act of 1989 : hearing before the Subcommittee on Immigration and Refugee Affairs of the Committee on the Judiciary, United States Senate, One Hundred First Congress, second session on S. 1629, a bill to establish clearly a federal right of action by aliens and United States citizens against persons engaging in torture or extrajudicial killing, and for other purposes and H.R. 1662, a bill to amend the United Nations Participation Act of 1945 to carry out obligations of the United States under the United Nations Charter and other international agreements pertaining to the protection of human rights by providing a civil action for recovery from persons engaging in torture, and for other purposes, June 22, 1990.
