His Maiesties message, to the kingdome of Scotland; : shewing that he hath given order for disbanding all his forces in both kingdoms, for recalling all commissions to any at sea, and that he is resolved to apply himselfe totally to the councels and advices of his Parliaments, for setling of truth and peace. Proclamation proclamed throughout the kingdome of Scotland, August 24. 1643 : commanding all persons iu [sic] the said kingdome of whatsoever qnality [sic], ranke, or degree betwixt sixtie and sixteene yeares of age, to provide themselves with fourtie dayes provision, with ammunition, armes, and all other ... provision, for the safety of His Majesties person, the defence of religion in both ... and of the right & priviledges of Parl. of both kingdomes respectively, under the penalty of confiscation of their whole estates, and to be punished as enemies to religion, king, and kingdomes.
